4 frozen bananas

In a blender, puree beam beet greens, orange juice and zest and almond milk until very smooth. Add remaining ingredients and again, puree until smooth and creamy.

Basic Green Smoothie
Makes 1 serving

6 oz of spinach
6 leaves of romaine lettuce
1 frozen banana
4 oz mango chunks, frozen
water to mix

In a blender, add the spinach, romaine lettuce, and enough water to the mixture (about half a cup). Mix until smooth and puree, add the frozen mango, banana and blend. Mix the vegetables first will help achieve a smoother consistency if like me, you have not had time to get a Vitamix yet.

Banana and strawberry smoothie

2 frozen bananas cut into 1-inch pieces
6 oz of frozen strawberries
1 cup almond milk

Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Frozen fruit has a tendency to stick and become difficult to mix when it is very cold, so I let it stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before mixing.
